I started KesariNest after one too many springs of watching wobbly plastic stands crack and rust within a season. There was no shortage of plant stands in the market — just a shortage of ones actually built to last. So I started working directly with ironsmith workshops here in Jaipur, the kind of craftsmen who've been shaping iron for years, to build something sturdier, better finished, and made to actually hold up in Indian homes and weather.

Every name has a story. For KesariNest, that story is deeply personal — rooted in family, faith, nature, and the values we want our brand to represent.
Kesari — My Grandmother
The name Kesari is inspired by my grandmother, Kesari Devi — someone whose love, values, and presence hold a very special place in my heart. Choosing her name for the brand is my way of carrying a part of her with me as I build something of my own.
Kesari — My Faith
There is another meaningful connection behind the name. In Hindu tradition, Kesari is known as the father of Lord Hanuman Ji. For me, this connection represents qualities that deeply inspire us — strength, courage, devotion, determination, and unwavering dedication. Together, these two connections make the name Kesari even more special to me — one rooted in family, and the other in faith and inspiration.

A nest represents home, warmth, care, and growth. It is a place where life is nurtured, protected, and given the space to grow. This beautifully connects with our vision at KesariNest — bringing nature into our homes and creating beautiful spaces where plants can grow and thrive.
KesariNest brings together what is close to our heart — family, faith, nature, and craftsmanship. What began as a name became a reflection of our roots, our values, and our vision for the future.

A plant deserves better than a wobbly tray.
Most of what's sold as a "plant stand" is stamped plastic or thin, dip-painted metal — fine for a season, then it wobbles, rusts, or gives up under the weight of a full-grown pot. We didn't want to add another one of those to the market. We wanted to build the kind of stand you'd actually want to keep for years, not replace every monsoon.
So before we built anything, we asked a simple question: what would it take to make a plant stand people actually want to keep — not quietly replace every year?
So we went straight to the people who actually know iron.
Every KesariNest stand is cut, bent and welded by hand in small ironsmith workshops — not stamped out of a mould on an assembly line. That means more time per piece, and a finish and strength you can actually feel the difference in.
Before any design is approved to ship, we load-test it to 2–3x its rated pot capacity — so it holds up years after a mass-produced stand would have buckled, bent or rusted through.

We work directly with over 60 artisan-run ironworking workshops across India — skilled hands who've been shaping metal for years, sometimes generations. We pay them directly, with no middlemen taking a cut, because a fair price for real craftsmanship isn't negotiable for us.
It's a relationship that works both ways — we get consistent, dependable craftsmanship on every order, and they get steady, fair work instead of being squeezed by middlemen chasing the lowest possible price.
